Department Summary
The University of North Texas (UNT) is strategically located in Denton, Texas which is 35 miles north of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The UNT Mechanical Engineering (ME) Department is in the 550,000 square foot UNT College of Engineering Discovery Park building situated on 290 acres of land available for R&D enterprises. The College of Engineering was established in 2003 and currently houses five departments.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, Korean, or/and Yoruba.
Position Summary
We seek a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher with expertise in Machine Learning or similar field to join our Predictive Digital Twin Research Lab. The primary focus of this position is on the development of deep learning driven Digital Twin functional modulus, including preprocessing, training of machine learning functional models, and validation of predictive models. A secondary focus is on optimizing tools for engineering design and additive manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Engineering, Machine Learning, or similar field
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python)

  • Current curriculum vitae with bibliography
  • Proof of doctoral degree (copy of diploma or final transcript with English translation, if applicable) or a letter from your university’s Registrar office indicating you have fulfilled all doctoral program requirements and are eligible to graduate.
