Position Description

Advertised Job Summary	The candidate will carry out essential research duties related to the integration of computation and machine learning. The ideal candidate should possess strong research skills and contribute to the group’s research objectives of screening materials computationally. The postdoctoral researcher will integrate density functional theory calculations and machine learning techniques to perform high-throughput screening of chemical compounds. The objective is to identify intriguing chemical properties resulting from the combination of diverse elements.
Minimum Qualifications	Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field, or be in the process of defending their Ph.D. (ABDs may be considered), at the time of employment. Additionally, experience with computational simulations is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications	Proficiency in conducting computational simulations is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities	Proficiency in scientific computer programming, atomistic simulations, and/or machine learning (ML) is ideal. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to function collaboratively in a research setting are necessary.
