Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | Under general supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), this position will contribute to condensed matter physics research in the SmartState Center for Experimental Nanoscale Physics . Duties include the synthesis of single crystal and polycrystalline materials and characterizing these samples (electrical, magnetic, optical, and thermal properties) with laboratory-based techniques and other measurements. Both in-house and national (Oak Ridge National Laboratory; National High Magnetic Field Laboratory) user facilities may be used. |
