Postdoctoral Associate

Baylor College of Medicine

Job Description

Summary

The Center for Drug Discovery ( https://www.bcm.edu/research/centers/drug-discovery ) is a strategic research center at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. We are currently seeking highly motivated, well-organized and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Fellows contributing to our research in the fields of drug metabolism and toxicity, as well as the study of chemical properties that aid in crossing the blood-testis barrier (BTB). In our well-equipped laboratory, we utilize advanced instruments such as Thermos UHPLC-Q Exactive MS, Orbitrap Exploris™ 120, Thermo Quintus (triple quadruple), and Imaging mass spectrometry (IMS, Bruker timsTOF fleX MALDI-2) to conduct LC-MS-metabolomics, pharmacokinetics, and spatial metabolomics. Understanding the drug metabolism could predict the possible adverse events of drugs in clinic and also could reduce the risk of the drug candidates in drug development. Determining chemical features passing BTB will facilitate the drug development for therapeutic targets behind BTB. Baylor College of Medicine is located in the prestigious Texas Medical Center and offers a highly interactive environment and a strong infrastructure for research and career development. To obtain further details about the positions, feel free to email Dr. Feng Li (fl3@bcm.edu) directly.
