Context of the Job:

This position is for a post-doctoral researcher for the “Supporting Teachers to Teach Mathematics Through Problem Posing” project. Primary tasks for this position include supporting professional learning for participating teachers, collecting and analyzing data, and collaborating with the project team to disseminate project findings.  Due to the heavy load of data collection, we got approval from both NSF and UD research office to hire a second postdoc for the project. 

Major Responsibilities:

• Plan evaluation of professional learning program
• Develop, score, and analyze data from student assessments
• Ongoing data analysis
• Collect and analyze classroom observation data
• Developing problem-posing teaching cases
• Dissemination of project findings (writing papers, conference presentations, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Mathematics Education or a related field. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Mathematics Education or a related field by August 31, 2023.
• This position would be desirable for candidates who are interested in quantitative methods, professional learning, and mathematical problem posing, but expertise in these areas is not required.
