Job Responsibilities

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Perinatal Quality Improvement, the Sr. Manager for Neonatal Quality Improvement will be responsible for providing operational and programmatic support for neonatal quality improvement initiatives to ensure that the activities meet the established objectives and adhere to all funding and reporting guidelines and requirements to improve infant outcomes in Georgia.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Administrative lead for all GaPQC neonatal quality improvement initiatives in Georgia birthing hospitals.
  • Provide technical assistance and quality improvement support to hospitals, providers, and community partners for perinatal quality improvement (PQI) initiatives and goals.
  • Plan, monitor, and continuously improve PQI projects implemented with hospitals, providers, and community partners for compliance with state and federal guidelines through required reporting and evaluation.
  • Drive new activities to enhance statewide partnerships and promote GaPQC initiatives.
  • Provide programmatic guidance around GaPQC key components and processes.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the GaPQC Neonatal Committee supporting GaPQC initiatives.
  • Participate in writing and submission of grant applications and grant reports as needed.
  • Update the scope of services related to GaPQC contractual partnerships and provide oversight of new contractual requirements.
  • Responsible for the rollout and oversight of future GaPQC neonatal initiatives.
  • Plas and host monthly educational learnings sessions with hospitals and partners participating in the GaPQC initiatives.
  • Responsible for identifying metrics for ongoing health equity efforts in GaPQC hospitals for current and future neonatal initiatives.
  • Build collaborative relationships with program leads in Women’s Health and within the Division to align and promote programs/initiatives with shared overall goals.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Manager for Maternal Quality Improvement to align and strengthen Collaborative wide priorities.
  • Support Regional Perinatal Center activities including the developmental clinic, site visits, and reporting.
  • Lead the Regional Perinatal Center Developmental Clinic workgroup and provide coordination and support for the Regional Perinatal Center Neonatal Outreach Educators.
  • Participate in contract management for the Regional Perinatal Centers.
  • Perform other assignments as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND Six years of related experience
OR
Eight years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who in addition to meeting the minimum qualification possess the following:


  • Master’s degree in public health, nursing or related field
  • Experience in perinatal health quality improvement
  • Neonatal or pediatric experience
