Position Description
The Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases (IID) at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health invites applications for a tenure-track position. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience and productivity and the Harvard Chan School appointment criteria.
IID faculty research is primarily focused on host-pathogen immunology. The successful applicant will hold a relevant doctoral degree and will have a record of outstanding productivity in an area of the immunology of infectious diseases. The candidate should possess the ability to work collaboratively with other scientists, in a diverse team environment and possess the scholarly qualities required to mentor doctoral students in the PhD Program in Biological Sciences in Public Health within Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

IID has particular interest in recruiting individuals with research programs in the following areas:
· Mechanisms of immune control in infectious diseases and infection models including respiratory and arthropod vectored human viruses, tuberculosis and malaria
· Vaccine relevant human, cellular, molecular or computational biology
· Systems biology/chemical biology approaches, applied at a mechanistic level, to problems of vaccinology or the immunology of infectious disease

Basic Qualifications
Relevant doctoral degree with at least three years of postdoctoral training.
