Position Summary:

The mission of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is to educate students, physicians, and scientists to meet society's current and future healthcare needs through patient-centered education; pioneering research; innovative clinical, rehabilitative and preventive care; and collaborative community outreach. The academic rank will be based upon the qualifications of hte successful candidate.
Rutgers CINJ at University Hospital in Newark, NJ provides NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center services, such as access to the most advanced Cancer treatment options and clinical trials, to the residents of the greater-Newark region to improve outcomes for patients and their families impacted by Cancer.
The attending breast surgeon will be expected to support the clinical, academic, education, and research missions of the Division of Surgical Oncology, Department of Surgery, and Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

Serve as an attending in the Division of Surgical Oncology, providing breast /breast oncology services to northern NJ patients at UH and other sites as determined by the Chief or Chair.

Provide On Call and clinical coverage to all sites, as required.

Participate in medical students' and residents' education through teaching at the bedside, in the OR, lectures, conferences, etc.

Attend M&M, General Tumor Board, Attending Breast Tumor Board and other divisional or departmental conferences.

Serve as an active contributor to the growth of the division, modernizing practice protocols, as well as performing other duties assigned by the Division Chief or Chair.

Minimum Education and Experience:

MD degree from an accredited institution
