There is an opening for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join the laboratory of Dr. Andrey Shaw in the Research Biology Department at Genentech.  The interests of the lab are currently focused on the role of biomolecular condensates in signaling by immune receptors.  We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of excellence in either Immunology, Cell Biology, or Biochemistry.  The successful candidate will have a strong scientific background that could include:  cellular immunology, single-cell RNA-Seq and other single-cell technologies, protein chemistry, cell biology, proteomics, and microscopy.

The Genentech scientific environment has access to generous and state-of-the-art resources.  The candidate will be part of the Genentech post-doctoral training program that provides an outstanding environment and the opportunity to pursue fundamental basic science questions in an environment focused on drug development.  Our successful post-doctoral fellows go on to pursue careers in both industry and in academia. 

Who you are:

• The qualified individual will possess a Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or a related field with a solid publication record that includes at least one first-authored publication.
• Experience or interest in working with animals would be preferred.
• Excellent communication and writing skills as well as a track record of working in highly collaborative environments is a must.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $64,800 and $120,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
