Another project focuses on molecular pathogenic mechanisms of novel FTD-causing genetic mutations in newly generated in vitro and in vivo models, using molecular, cellular, electrophysiological, and behavioral approaches (for example publications please see Gascon et al., Nat Med 20:1444; Choi et al., Nat Neurosci 22:851; Zajicek et al., Mol Psychiatry 27:2414). Successful candidates will hold a PhD or MD/PhD degree in neuroscience, cell biology or related fields and have significant experience in electrophysiology, molecular cellular biology, and/or mouse behavior.
