We have a dataset of vegetation collected at 200 permanent plots over, more than a decade, in both oak-hickory and northern hardwoods forest types in 4 different study areas. In addition, we have monitored deer population demographics on the study areas and have established experimental plots looking at the effects of herbicide, deer exclosures, and liming on plant communities. The post-doctoral scholar will work with a team of 4 faculty (expertise in wildlife, soils, and forest ecology), graduate students and other post-doctoral scholars. The post-doctoral scholar will be able to pursue multiple areas of research using this long-term dataset.
