JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Mathematics in Penn State 's Eberly College of Science is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar beginning January 2024. The successful candidate will work with Professor Alberto Bressan in the area of optimization problems for systems modeled by partial differential equations.  

Education and Experience

Applicants must have recently completed a Ph.D. and have exceptional research potential. Teaching may be required.

Candidates will be considered with background in the areas of optimal control, optimization problems for PDEs, ramified transport theory. Expertise in numerical simulations will be valued, but not required.
