Position Summary
The Herman B. Wells Center for Pediatric Research conducts basic science and translational research within the Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. The Wells Center houses more than 200 faculty investigators, staff, and trainees seeking answers to the most pressing questions related to childhood illness.
With the collaboration between scientists and physicians, the center aims to increase knowledge of the causes and mechanisms of serious pediatric diseases. Our goal is to develop innovative approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of sick children in Indiana and beyond.
The Gene and Cell Therapy Program at Indiana University’s Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research is seeking to hire a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with extensive training in one of the following areas: molecular biology, virology, immunology, and gene therapy. Projects include adeno-associated viral (AAV) gene transfer for the treatment of hemophilia or muscular dystrophy, cell therapies, and regulatory T cell engineering, immunology of gene therapy vectors, and tolerance-inducing drug therapies. Candidates should have a track record in life science research. The postdoctoral fellow will be asked to present their findings locally and at national meetings and are expected to generate manuscripts for publication in high-quality scientific journals. Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree required. Experience in molecular biology, virology, and/or immunology.
