The Opportunity

The Toni Jennings Exceptional Education Institute (TJEEI) is looking for thought leaders as we search for two research associate positions to help manage our externally funded Inclusive Education program (IES). The research associates manage externally funded project goals and objectives under the direction of the primary investigator (PI) and director of the TJEEI.  The positions are split appointments across the institute and external funding sources.  

Tasks 

  • Lead project milestones as directed by PI or TJEEI director. 

  • Collaborate with IES project and TJEEI constituents on project goals and objectives. 

  • Publish and disseminate project findings.  

  • Write federal, state, or foundation grant proposals for continued funding. 

  • Teach for the IES program. 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist with curriculum and program review, development and management of IES priorities. 

  • Oversee project timelines and major milestones for funded projects with primary investigators and coordinate with director of TJEEI.  

  • Oversee project staff affiliated with externally funded projects. 

  • Delivery of products and services associated with externally funded projects and TJEEI. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An earned doctorate in Special Education (or closely related field) from an accredited institution by the time of appointment.

  • Experience teaching college-level courses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of a promising and cohesive research agenda.

  • Experience facilitating courses, programs, services, activities, and facilities for students with disabilities. 

  • Evidence of contributions to internal and external partnership efforts.

  • Evidence of working as a contributing member of a collaborative group.

  • Evidence of a commitment to student success at the college level, including the success of a diverse student population.
