Research Assistant Professor; Full time 


The University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy is seeking candidates for a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics. The candidate will carry out clinical-translational, implementation, outcomes, and/or clinical informatics research focused in nephropharmacology, all primarily within the context of population health in chronic kidney disease, and in close collaboration with investigators from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Renal-Electrolyte Division. Additional clinical, scholarly and teaching responsibilities expected of the candidate will include medication therapy management and safety reviews in keeping with population health management efforts; contribution to the scientific literature through scholarly activities such as publications and presentations at scientific meetings; and precepting or mentoring pharmacy students and residents. 


Candidates at the Research Assistant Professor level should have excellent communication skills, dedication to high-impact research, and the potential for a research career in academia. Candidates must have a PharmD and/or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology or a related field and should have at least 3-5 years of postdoctoral experience in clinical and translational research. Candidates should have a track record of publications in population health management and demonstrated experience in mentoring students.
