Position Summary
Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) – Bloomington is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as the Lab Director for our undergraduate Human Physiology (P215) course beginning as early as November 1, 2023. This position is a full time, non-tenure track, Lecturer faculty appointment within the Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology of the IU School of Medicine, with job responsibilities located at the IUSM-Bloomington campus. 
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for coordinating the lab sections of P215 and may also have the opportunity to teach undergraduate lecture courses such as M131 (Disease and the Human Body). The Lab Director is responsible for training and supervising graduate Assistant Instructors (AI) and Undergraduate Teaching Assistants (UTAs) in P215 and will collaborate with other P215 teaching faculty to ensure consistency between lab and lecture. Additional teaching opportunities for graduate students and medical students may be available. We invite applicants who have experience teaching diverse populations of undergraduate students by creating inclusive classrooms and by utilizing innovative pedagogy.

Basic Qualifications
Required
·         Proficient communication skills
·         Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills
·         Highly thorough and dependable
·         MS in Biology, Physiology, or related field
Preferred
·         Ph.D., MD, or medical equivalent degree
·         Demonstrated teaching excellence
·         Working knowledge and hands-on experience with a wide variety of physiological instrumentation, computer applications, and computer/instrument interfaces
·         Experience designing labs for undergraduates
