Geauga Special Olympics Coordinator/ Recreation Outreach Full Time

Location: The Metzenbaum Center, 8200 Cedar Road, Chesterland, Ohio 44026

Salary Range: 40s with additional benefits. Negotiable based on skill level and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY The Geauga Special Olympics Coordinator/Recreation Outreach employee is responsible for the foundation’s Special Olympics program and recreation outreach programs. The Coordinator oversees eight Special Olympics sports (10 teams). The Coordinator works directly with the developmentally disabled population.

DUTIES • Manage and oversee all Geauga Special Olympics programs and events. • Manage and verify all coaches, chaperones and volunteers. • Manage athletes, medical paperwork, equipment, facility rentals, schedules, and transportation. • Communicate with coaches, athletes, families, Regional Directors & the Special Olympics Ohio State Office.

REQUIREMENTS • Flexible hours Monday-Friday, will OFTEN work evenings and weekends. • Must complete a background check and have a valid State of Ohio Driver’s license and a clean driving record. BENEFITS Compensation for healthcare reimbursement available after 30 days of employment if desired. A Simple IRA available after 90 days of employment.
