Job Description Summary
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University is seeking to fill two  nine-month tenure-track positions, beginning on August 16, 2024. Candidates in all areas of mathematics will be considered; rank is open and will be determined by candidate qualifications.
The department has a PhD program and various MS programs, including a new MS program in Data Science. It has over 50 mathematicians/statisticians and more than 120 graduate students engaged in research in a wide variety of areas in mathematics and statistics. Auburn University’s strong research programs in a variety of areas present many opportunities for interdisciplinary research and for participation in its various multidisciplinary programs. Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in Mathematics by the appointment start date is required. Successful candidates are expected to pursue independent research and teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Postdoctoral research experience is required. Successful candidates are expected to be able to communicate effectively in English. Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills are required. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
