Job Summary
The Markey Cancer Center (MCC) is seeking an Administrative Support Associate I to manage and coordinate the visa processes for all current and future stake holders. This position with work closely with the University’s International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). It will work collaboratively with the MCC Staff Support and Finance Teams to ensure all employees are paid correctly and communicate with faculty, staff & students when there are issues. This position will also coordinate and manage the postdoctoral process for MCC while collaborating with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs in the Graduate School and other special projects as assigned.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative to continuously develop knowledge base and skill level by participating in continuing education programs and who will contribute to the review of departmental workflows and help identify workflows for improvement.
Essential skill sets needed to be successful in this position are: proficient written and oral communication, attention to detail, self-motivated, critical and creative thinking, organization, observation, time management, sensitive to cultural differences, and ability to build and maintain good relationships.
This position will have a fully on-site work arrangement. Once you have successfully completed your orientation period (initially 90 days) there is the possibility of working a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).

Proficient written & oral communication skills, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, CDEM, iCAT, Adobe Acrobat, Expected to complete the following trainings within 2 years of employment: The Essential Leader Program and the Experienced Leader Academy.

Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree plus five or more years of related experience preferred.
