Position Highlights | The Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (MEZCOPH) at the University of Arizona (UA) invites applicants for a faculty (associate professor) position in Maternal and Child Health (MCH). Candidates with interests and research portfolios in public health issues that affect women, children, and adolescents locally, nationally, or globally will be considered and have expertise in different research approaches, including quantitative and qualitative methods, mixed method, community-engaged research, participatory action research, and implementation science. The faculty member will work collaboratively with other university departments, state, tribal, and local health departments, health agencies, and national and global health organizations. Preferred, established tenured investigator with a national/international reputation in scholarship, independent research funding, demonstrated leadership in their field or in practice, and desire to build a research and training program. The University of Arizona’s Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (MEZCOPH) is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). We are dedicated to promoting the health of communities in the Southwest and globally. The College has active teaching, research, and service programs and is the home of several important centers including, the American Lung Association Airways Clinical Research Center, the Canyon Ranch Center for Prevention and Health Promotion, the CDC-funded Arizona Prevention Research Center, the Western Regional Public Health Training Center, the Center for Rural Health, the Global Health Institute among several others. Preferred Qualifications | -Demonstrated ability to lead innovative research projects to successful completion. -History of securing federal, foundation, and industry grants to support innovative research. -Record of high-quality research published in leading academic journals. -Demonstrated excellence in teaching, evidenced by course evaluations, teaching awards, or other means. -Leadership skills essential for mentoring junior faculty, graduate students, and engaging community leaders. |
