Full Time Faculty- Anthropology

The FT Anthropology Faculty works under the supervision of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Division Dean and is responsible for teaching Anthropology and Forensic Anthropology Criminal Justice courses. This position is governed by institutional policy. The position is a nine-month salaried position. Additional stipend may be available for work performed during summer months.

 
Essential Duties
  • Teach 15 credit hours (typically 5 sections) of Anthropology/ Criminal Justice courses classes. Courses will include Cultural Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, and Forensic Anthropology (considered a Criminal Justice course). Classes may be on-line or traditional format
  • Maintain Biological Anthropology Lab space and related materials, including collection of osteologic reproductions used in applied Criminal Justice Forensic Anthropology and Biological Anthropology courses.
  • Develop and implement innovative and application-based curriculum
  • Contribute to the college’s Criminal Justice and Child Advocacy Studies academic programs and professional training initiatives.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities in a timely manner, including recording student participation, submitting grades, etc.
 
Working Relationships
  • Collaborate with regional Criminal Justice/ Law Enforcement professionals to enhance Criminal Justice curriculum
  • Partner with higher education institutions to promote transfer options
  • Work closely with other college divisions and departments to promote student success
 
Salary is determined by the current faculty salary scale

Education and Experience
Graduate degree in area related to Criminal Justice (criminal justice, law, etc…) required. Degree or experience in areas of Digital Forensics or Child Protection preferred.
