Job Description

The McCulloch Lab at the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University is seeking a senior scientist to play a leading role in the development of new organic semiconducting materials and devices. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, coordinate project collaborations, and supervise student researchers. The candidate will contribute to the development and execution of research projects, including incorporating new scientific advances, coordinating and designing the workflow, training individuals on specific aspects of the workflow, and mentoring postdoctoral researchers and graduate students. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for new lab creation and will hold a managerial role. Along with making scientific and technical advances in the general organic electronics field, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to independently lead new research projects, specifically in organic photocatalysis and organic bioelectronics. The position may require teaching a course on a part-time basis. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vibrant research program, and Dr. McCulloch is committed to fostering the career development of all research group members. The position will be within the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, which is an interdisciplinary, innovative, and collaborative research center. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, hold a strong publication record, and demonstrate proficiency in organic polymer synthesis in the field of organic electronics. Demonstrated experience in a postdoctoral research leadership role is essential. This position is a two-year term, with the possibility of renewal.
