Job Description

The Management and Insurance and Risk Management Department of the Marilyn Davies College of Business at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) is seeking applicants for Adjunct positions with the MDCOB’s Master of Business Administration program. Courses in this program are 8 week courses during the long semesters (fall, spring). The successful candidate must will teach graduate courses in Management, have a demonstrated potential for instructional excellence, and have and/or maintain SA or PA status according to AACSB qualifications. Specifically, we are seeking individuals with research and/or professional qualifications to teach courses in or closely related to the following:

  • Strategic Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Leadership

Qualifications
 


Ph.D., DBA, or ABD in teaching discipline or closely related field and one or both of the following:

  • Minimum one academic publication in a peer-reviewed journals within the last 5 years AND significant industry or consulting experiences within the last 5 years
  • Minimum two academic publications in a peer-reviewed journals within the last 5 years
  • Teaching or corporate training experience
