Trinity Woods (TW) is seeking a progressive and visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead, strengthen and promote a premiere senior living campus located in the midtown area of Tulsa, OK. The opportunity is open because our CEO, Steven H. Dickie, is retiring after 20 years of service.

We are a non-profit, faith-based Life Plan Community that has served seniors in Oklahoma since 1956. We offer full continuum of care including independent living, assisted living, memory care assisted living, skilled nursing and long-term care. Living options are available at each level, tailored to meet each person’s needs.

This position reports, and is accountable, to an actively engaged Board of Directors.

Combining inspirational leadership and sophisticated management abilities, the CEO must advance the organization and ensure the organization preserves its exceptional record of service.

Job Summary:

The CEO reports, and is accountable, to the Board of Directors. The CEO is primarily responsible for developing, and directing the control of, all strategic and tactical business plans. This position provides the vision for new strategies, programs, and services. The incumbent must ensure we continue to have financial sustainability. He/she provides leadership for the community and employees in an engaging and participatory manner. The CEO partners with the Board of Directors and will ensure we maintain a visionary, collaborative, and performance driven culture that serves our members in the spirit of Christ.

The incumbent embodies the attitudes and behaviors that demonstrate and uphold the Mission Statement of Trinity Woods (TW), supports the TW core values, and shows an understanding of TW’ person-centered philosophy.

The CEO’s direct reports include the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Vice President of Health Services, Vice President of Human Resources, Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Engagement, Chaplain, and an Executive Administrative Assistant.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Theology. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in senior living or healthcare with at least two (2) years’ experience in an executive level position that works, or participates, with a Board of Directors. Experience in not-for-profit management and/or Continuing Care Retirement Communities preferred.
  • Strong background in financial management including budget preparation, cash flow management and analysis of financial reports.
  • Has working knowledge of all federal and state regulations applicable to Trinity Woods.
  • Has working knowledge of the principles of philanthropy, fundraising and planned giving donations.
  • Has a working knowledge of site projects including planned maintenance, repair, remodel, and new construction.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all external and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining strong community relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accountabilities

  • Directs the development of fund-raising plans, preparation of grant proposals and solicitation of monies to secure funding for capital projects.
  • Responsible for the outcomes of plans, projects, budgets, and other accountabilities either established, or approved, by the Board of Directors.
  • Ensures team accountability by implementing and maintaining appropriate measurement tools to monitor the progress on established goals.
  • Responsible for the planning, organization, and preparation of materials to educate board members during regular meetings.

Community

  • Represents Trinity Woods at the local, regional, state, and national levels in areas whether direct or indirect interest to the organization is involved.

Compliance

  • Stays current with emerging trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats and then prepares recommendations for changes to achieve the mission considering such trends.
  • Monitors local, regional, state, and national legal and regulatory activities which impact Trinity Woods, while seeking legal counsel as necessary, to advise the Board of Directors on related policy formulation and planning decisions.
  • Maintains appropriate accreditation and licensure status for Trinity Woods.
  • Consults with the Chairman of the Board and the Chair of the Human Resources Committee prior to terminating a direct report if he/she determines that termination is warranted.
  • Complies with applicable safety policies and procedures as prescribed by Trinity Woods.

Leadership

  • Develops the vision, strategic plans, programs, and policies for Trinity Woods; recommends adoption or modification as needed and provides information to the Board of Directors concerning operational performance.
  • Secures necessary resources to facilitate achievement of goals and objectives; interprets, communicates, and implements vision, plans, programs, and policies, and provides management direction to team members.
  • Provides leadership through the development of the administrative team in a manner which promotes their ability to manage risk and enhances their ability to become respected problem-solving individuals.
