The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, vitally connected to our local area for over 50 years. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for assigned aspects of the dual credit program related to COD/District 502 high school partnerships, including site visits to high schools on a regular and recurring basis. Serve as on-site COD dual credit liaison to District 502 high school staff, including counselors, teachers and administrators, providing direction and recommendations for the application of ICCB and HLC criteria and guidelines.

  • Cultivate partnerships between College faculty and high school teachers that ensure the pedagogical and academic integrity of COD courses taught in the high schools.
  • Facilitate high schools' understanding and application of ICCB and HLC guidelines, recommending remedial steps when a high school is not in compliance.
  • Serve as first-level reviewer for dual credit partnership agreements between COD and the high schools.
  • Provide suggestions and advocate for programs of study that focus on high school to COD pathway agreements.
  • Facilitate on-site registration of high school students in dual credit courses.
  • Conduct reviews to ensure COD procedural requirements such as midterm verifications and final grades submissions are understood and observed.
  • Establish and maintain an electronic mailing list that includes COD departments involved or interested in the dual credit or dual enrollment initiatives, as well as representatives from all of the college's dual credit or dual enrollment high school partners.
  • Provide updates when changes affecting either initiative occur, share minutes of Dual Credit/Enrollment Advisory Council Meetings, and respond to questions, concerns or ideas posted by system users.
  • Disseminate a quarterly summary of ongoing program initiatives and progress to date.
  • Assist the Manager, Dual Credit with pursuing dual credit national accreditation.
  • Support COD Deans and faculty engaged in developmental activities for high school teachers as specified in accreditation guidelines.
  • In collaboration with COD Testing Services, streamline the processes for placement testing in an effort to ensure placement testing completion prior to course registration.
  • Ensure students have timely access to placement testing locations.
  • Evaluate eligibility for Perkins grant funding for partnership-related initiatives, and comply with reporting requirements as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience
    • A minimum of 2 years of program coordination or related experience in a higher education environment required.
    • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills required.
    • Facility with standard computer applications required.
    • Experience working with high school or college faculty and administration preferred.
    • Some teaching experience at the high school or college level preferred.
    • Some familiarity with dual credit programs or courses preferred.

 

  • Personal computer with standard applications software along with systems used within the College.
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver's license for traveling to area high schools for meetings and appointments.
  • General office environment; full-time work schedule may occasionally require some evening/weekend hours as needed.
  • This position requires a background check and drug screen.


Pay Grade:
Classified 12 Salary Range: 52,000.00 - 56,000.00
