JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Salary: $105,000 - $130,000 annually

Job Type: Full-time (Exempt)

Closing Date: Open Until Filled

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Ensure programs and facilities comply with National, State, County and Tribal regulations, accreditation, and grant licensure requirements, including quality assurance activities by maintaining official records and documents.
  • Provide leadership in developing programs, organizational and financial plans, and execute policies authorized by the board.
  • Monitor and evaluate quality assurance and process improvement activities to ensure the highest quality of clinical and preventive services is provided.
  • Provide leadership in developing programs, organizational and financial plans, and execute policies authorized by the board.
  • Assure that the community is aware of and have access to their health care services, develop, and maintain working relationships with appropriate Tribal, Federal, State, and local agencies concerning matters affecting health and wellness programs.
  • Maintain a climate which attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse staff of top-quality people.
  • Supervise program managers and administrative staff. Provide direction, assignments and complete performance evaluations and make decisions regarding termination and promotion.
  • Encourage staff advancement by encouraging development, training, and education of employees.
  • Work with management team to prepare budgets; ensure the organization operates within budget and grant/funding guidelines.
  • Ensure adequate funds are available so the organization can achieve its mission.
  • Prepare statistical and narrative reports as required for grants, contracts, and requests from the Board of Directors.
  • With the Board of Directors’ approval, create NACA’s current and long-range goals, objectives, plans and policies.
  • Ensure governing Board is kept fully informed on the condition of the organization and all-important factors influencing it.
  • Work closely with the Board President to set the agenda and the Board of Directors to coordinate meetings consistent with the NACA Bylaws.
  • Attends all Board and Management meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

Master’s Degree preferably in Public Administration or Business Administration. Seven years of management level experience working in a nonprofit organization in health and human services, fiscal/budget, supervision of staff and working with Board of Directors. Knowledge of current Federally Qualified Health Clinic standards, and experience in nonprofit fiscal management, grant writing, and working with Native American Indian populations and Federal, State, City and Tribal entities/agencies in the delivery of health programs. Must pass a background check and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance card.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of budgetary processes and procedures. Grant administration including solicitation, accounting, and reporting.
  • Public administration and business practices including procedures as applied to human service programs.
  • Grant administration including solicitation, accounting, and reporting.
  • Federal, State/County and Tribal policies and regulations related to health service programs including, but not limited to accreditation standards (e.g. JCAHO, AAAC) and CMS regulations for business practices (coding, billing, etc.)
