Job Description

 

The Office of Planning & Capital Construction (P&CC) is seeking a self-starting, team-oriented Administrative Assistant who will provide support to a dynamic project focused group under the direction of leadership. This position serves as a lead for other support staff on a wide variety of administrative functions. This position works closely with the P&CC Leadership Team, supporting a fast paced group with project related assignments, scheduling, coordinating meetings, and helps to maintain the forward momentum of the department.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

 

Training and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED® and five years of responsible administrative support experience.
  • College or business school training may be substituted for up to two years of the experience requirement.Experience in a secretarial role or capacity is desirable.Other combinations of experience, education and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered

Starting Salary Expectations
Minimum $50,821 to range midpoint of $62,503. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Incumbents typically work in an office setting but may be assigned other duties such as transporting office supplies and equipment. Duties typically involve managing multiple priorities, handling interruptions, deadlines and other work pressures. Some positions may involve limited local travel.
