| Position Highlights | The Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (AME) is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Dr. Kyle Hanquist on basic and applied research in the area of computational aerothermodynamics relevant to hypersonic flight environments. This will include the investigation of nonequilibrium gas dynamics impact on aero-optics, thermal management, and modeling of solid fuel ramjets. The successful candidate should have: knowledge of and experience in the fields of aerodynamics, aerothermodynamics, and/or fluid dynamics, a strong and demonstrated interest in programming; preferably in the context of CFD or machine learning, experience with numerical methods and modeling and simulation, strong analysis skills, research, and technical writing skills.
