Position Highlights

This postdoctoral fellow will apply methods in computational modeling to novel questions about human spatial navigation, which will involve experiments in virtual reality. The major focus will be on developing and testing novel models of spatial navigation in conjunction with supervisor Dr. Robert C. Wilson. The postdoctoral fellow will also assist with data collection and gain exposure to human spatial navigation, particularly in immersive virtual reality. This work is funded by federal grants.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Building and testing computational models of cognition and navigation with supervisor Dr. Robert C Wilson
  • Data collection and analysis of virtual reality experiments with supervisor Dr. Arne Ekstrom.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, engineering, mathematics, or other quantitative fields upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some background in computational modeling as relevant to behavior strongly suggested.
