Summary:
The Graduate Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing all activities of the MD/PhD Program, two summer programs, the Brown-Pfizer Masters in Biology Program, and the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS). This position will work in an interdepartmental and inter-programmatic way interacting with multiple departments at Brown University, as well as the Medical School. The position provides administrative, organizational, and financial coordination for many of the programs. The Graduate Program Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external program constituencies, which include students, faculty, alumni, other administrators and staff, and visitors. The incumbent will maintain the website presence for each unit and manage all recruitment activities, admissions process, didactics, all administrative systems and records for the programs, and provides overall support for the OGS. These and other tasks will be prioritized at weekly meetings with the Director of the MD/PhD program and the Associate Dean of the OGS.
Job Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years of administrative experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven project management skills preferred.
Experience in student services is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Programs (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint), Google docs, sheets, calendar, and sites, and in FileMaker preferred.
Previous experience in an academic or research environment preferred.
