The Stark Sustainable Soil Initiative is a collaborative agricultural (on-farm) research project of The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) Rattan Lal Center for Carbon Management and Sequestration and OSU Extension of Stark County. The project is based out of the Stark County Extension Office located in Massillon, OH-Stark County and is funded by the Herbert W. Hoover Foundation. The objective of this research project is to determine how small farm management techniques affect soil properties and plant production and quality. The student intern will report to the principal investigators and postdoctoral scholar coordinating the research for this grant project. This is a temporary 10-week position working 10 hours/week.
