Position Summary:

The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University, internationally recognized as a leader in the advancement of Caring Science research, is offering postdoctoral fellowships in caring science in the areas of: healthy aging across the lifespan, holistic health, health equity, and transforming nursing practice environments. Florida Atlantic University is a research intensive university located on six regional campuses in along the coastline of South Florida. The main campus for the university and the College of Nursing is located in Boca Raton in Palm Beach County. We offer four-degree programs (BSN, MSN, DNP and PhD) with curricula that are unique and caring-based with opportunities for interprofessional education with medical, social work and pharmacy students. Our research advances caring science in four areas: healthy aging across the lifespan, holistic health, health equity, and transforming nursing practice environments. Job Description: 

This postdoc fellow position will be a one-year assignment, but may be renewed an additional year if performance expectations and deliverables are met. The primary research focus will be on Caring Science and Holistic Health areas in Nursing.

Along with an interdisciplinary research team, and while under the direct supervision of Dr. Howard Butcher and Dr. Safiya George, postdoctoral fellows will conduct research focused on testing interventions designed to enhance cognition, mental health, health related quality of life and other health-related areas conceptualized within a Caring Science theoretical perspective. This postdoctoral fellowship will also assist with research project management and oversight, data analysis, proposal development, dissemination and manuscript preparation.

Minimum Qualifications:

-PhD in Nursing
-Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated initiative and dedication, ability to learn fast are required.
