Postdoctoral Fellow – 1 Year                                                                                                     

Essential Duties:

  • Under faculty supervision, fellow will provide direct psychological clinical assessments and therapy to patients at the OU Schusterman Psychiatry Clinic and other associated clinical sites.
  • Research opportunities will be determined according to the fellow's training goals and demonstrated competencies.
  • Research duties may involve development and implementation of research protocols, provision of research assessments, and scholarly activity publications and grant preparation under supervision and mentorship of faculty members.
  • Fellow will have a minimum of 1.5 hours of weekly face-to-face supervision with a Ph.D. faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry.
  • Fellow will attend educational, research, and clinical didactics such as lectures, workshops, and Grand Rounds sessions.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical: Ability to engage in repetitive motion.
  • Environmental: Laboratory environment.  May be exposed to hazardous materials or chemicals.

Required Education:

  • Ph.D. in the appropriate field or discipline. 

Required Experience:

  • 24 months of research experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of a specialized field, process, or discipline
  • Ability to participate in the preparation of grant applications and publications 
  • Ability to conduct research following all University, State, and Federal regulations
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing 
  • Ability to work independently or as a team
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
