Job Summary
In the area of skeletal muscle inflammation and regeneration, (a) coordinate, perform, and document laboratory animal procedures and responses to procedures; (b) train other personnel to work with laboratory animals; © perform tissue analysis procedures; and (d) assist with grant, presentation, and manuscript preparation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, perform, and document laboratory animal procedures and responses to procedures
  • Perform tissue analysis procedures
  • Assist with grant, presentation, and manuscript preparation
  • Train other personnel to work with laboratory animals
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD from a regionally accredited college or university
At least one year of rodent experience
Strong communication skills using different types of media
Strong workload management and trainer skills.
Experience in working independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with performing invasive mouse procedures
Previous federal grant employment
Working Conditions

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Understanding of cell biology and physiology
Understanding of laboratory animal principles
Ability to perform laboratory rodent and tissue analysis procedures
Proficient at Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
Organized and detailed oriented.
Ability to produce quality work and meet deadlines
Proactive and ability to accept accountability for assigned job functions
