Description

The Vocational Instructor includes several areas of responsibility. These areas include development and supervision of all aspects of client training/teaching, developing adaptive equipment, maintaining accurate production and behavioral program records, organizing production materials/supplies and creating non-work-related activities/tasks. Staff in this position are supervised by the Work Services Manager and works closely with the Work Services Associates and the Client Services Manager.

Full Time position, Monday thru Friday, 7:30 a.m. to p.m., 3:30 pm, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Core Functions

  • Provides hands-on supervision, training and instruction to persons served and works with other Work Services ancillary staff to ensure quality outcomes related to product, client services, program goals and objectives.
  • Maintain, prepare, and submit accurate and timely Weekly Production Reports and Clinical related paperwork and information as needed/requested.
  • Monitors work area to ensure effective and efficient distribution of work material/supplies, client involvement, ongoing client training and recording client progress.
  • Completes all aspects of daily paperwork required to document production data, program, and behavioral issues. Records will be completed accurately, neatly and will be submitted in a timely manner.
  • Provides and maintains subcontract customers satisfaction of business services and adheres to their quality control standards.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and tracking of the ISPs established on semi-annual basis for each client. Tracking records and staffing notes will be maintained on daily basis.
  • Ensures compliance with all Department of Labor/Wage an Hour standards with respect to client wages and payroll reporting requirements.
  • Development and implementation of meaningful downtime/educational activities as needed.
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining all production equipment including production materials, supplies, adaptive devices/jigs, training jobs, and work site diagrams as needed for work and/or work simulation training.
  • Maintains production schedule so all jobs are completed in the established time frame. Meets daily and weekly production goals, timeframes and schedules.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Education and Experience

Minimum of an Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred in related area from an accredited school is required. Relevant post-high school education and/or previous work experience in a human services or non-profit setting is preferred. The ability to demonstrate functional knowledge of behavior principles in a related program may be substituted at the discretion of the employer.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
