The Stanford School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics advances the health of infants, children, and adolescents worldwide through innovative medical care, research, training, and advocacy. Ranked among the top in the nation, the Department of Pediatrics attracts medical students, interns, residents, fellows, and postdoctoral scholars from around the world. The department's programs offer a range of training opportunities in general pediatrics, critical care, and pediatric subspecialties-all within a variety of ambulatory, inpatient, and community settings. Moreover, while teaching the skills required for tomorrow's physician leaders, our programs challenge trainees to explore and develop their interests through basic science, clinical, and community-based research.

The successful applicant for this position will be passionate about education, have program and project management experiences, and a desire to collaborate with a dynamic group of faculty, staff, and trainees on a mission to improve child health through research and teaching.

In order to be considered for this position, applicants must submit a resume and cover letter with their application. This position is a hybrid role that requires the staff member to work on-site on the Stanford campus at least 2 days per week.

Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the University reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs. The pay range for this position working in the California Bay area is between $65,000 to $104,000 based on commensurate experience and background.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in education preferred. Prior experience in graduate medical education desired.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

  • Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and management.
  • Advanced analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced customer service skills.
  • Relevant computer systems/technology experience.
  • Understanding of financial transactions.
  • Ability to ensure and apply compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

  • Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Occasionally stand, walk, twist, use fine manipulation, grasp, use a telephone, write by hand, sort and file paperwork, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
