 The ideal candidate will have a PhD in biology, microbiology, genetics, epidemiology, or a related field and wet lab experience in molecular biology, whole genome sequencing of pathogens, and laboratory management.
 The successful candidate will be highly independent, organized, enthusiastic, and a motivated problem solver, who communicates well and enjoys working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
 Experience with DNA extraction, PCR, real-time PCR.
 Experience with library preparation and Illumina sequencing.
 Skills in descriptive analysis of sequencing data.
 Excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.
 High level of independence in scientific work.
 Enthusiastic about global health work and infectious diseases.
