Qualifications

Required Education:

PhD

Required Experience:

The candidate must have an in depth experience in the use of phytochemical extraction methods, separation methods, chemical identification and quantification of targeted and untargeted compounds and data interpretation of liquid chromatography

Preferred Experience:

The candidate must have of preference a natural products chemistry or chemistry background at the PhD level.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The postdoctoral position is for a candidate to be involved in different projects conducting research in the chemistry characterization, isolation and structure elucidation of secondary metabolites from plants and plant products. The selected candidate will write reports and support research proposal submission. In addition, the candidate will be expected to support different projects in the lab. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Machines or equipment used in the performance of essential duties:

Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, 20 hours HPLC, 10 hours
column chromatography separation, 10 hours
