Position Highlights A postdoctoral position is available in the Sutphin Lab at the University of Arizona to work on the role of kynurenine metabolism in immune system aging.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The project will employ tools in C. elegans, mouse, and bacterial biology to study age-dependent changes in kynurenine metabolic activity in immune-relevant cell types and the impact of interventions targeting the kynurenine pathway on host-pathogen interaction.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Biology or related field. The selected candidate must have a conferred Ph.D. upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An ideal candidate will have experience with immune function, host-pathogen interaction, kynurenine metabolism, C. elegans biology, and/or mouse biology.
  • Experience in methods development will also be beneficial.
