Postdoctoral Associate in Cancer Biology
Job Description
Fully funded postdoctoral positions are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Ming Chen in the Department of Pathology at the Duke Cancer Institute and Duke University School of Medicine. We are seeking postdoctoral researchers interested in the study of immunotherapies, ferroptosis, metastasis, and PTEN biology. Research in the Chen lab (https://sites.duke.edu/mingchenlab/ ) is focused on understanding the molecular and genetic events that contribute to cancer progression and metastasis (Wang et al., J Clin Invest 133(10):e1666647, 2023; Lee et al., Science 364(6441), 2019; Chen et al., Precis Clin Med 2:183, 2019; Chen et al., J Clin Invest 129:215, 2019; Chen et al., Nat Genet 50:206, 2018). Using a combination of mouse genetics, omics technologies, cross-species analyses, and in vitro approaches, we aim to identify cancer cell–intrinsic and –extrinsic mechanisms driving the aggressiveness of cancer, with a long–term goal of developing therapeutic strategies for preventing and treating human cancer.
