Position Highlights | 2 Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are currently available in the laboratory of Dr. Jil Tardiff at the University of Arizona, Dept of Biomedical Engineering. Current work in the lab is broad-based and highly translational, utilizing a wide range of methodologies from the Regulated in vitro motility assay, TR-FRET, Stopped-flow kinetics to the generation of cardiac-specific transgenic mouse models and RNA-Seq/Proteomics to study the pathogenesis of thin filament cardiomyopathies (HCM and DCM). We also have an active collaboration with the Steve Schwartz group to develop computational models of thin filament dynamics as an in silico, high resolution “lab” to study early biophysical changes in myofilament activation.
