Summary of Job Duties:
The Postdoctoral Fellow in Biological should have a Ph.D in Biology/Ecology/Evolutionary Biology or related fields. The Postdoctoral Fellow in Biology is expected to have experience in the design and execution of experiments associated with quantitative genetics, common garden approaches, natural selection, field experiments, and an interest community ecology. Preference will be given to candidates who have hands-on experience working with quantitative genetics, mixed effects statistical models, and field and lab experiments. The Post Doc will be responsible for helping design and conduct experiments associated with a NSF grant focused on how climate warming alters species tradeoffs shaping coexistence.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D in Biological Sciences conferred by start

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the design and execution of quantitative genetics experiments and their statistical analysis using modern methods

• Experience in rearing insects

• Previous experience using common garden approaches

• Experience conducting ecological experiments to test species coexistence theories

• Experience in conducting field work and managing large projects

Additional Information:

This is a 4-year appointment, renewable annually based on the need for the position, availability of funding, and continued satisfactory level of performance in the role.
