The Guo Lab at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking two postdoctoral researchers to work in the field of (1) Bioorganic Chemistry/Chemical Biology and (2) Protein engineering, respectively.  Applicants must have PhD in chemistry, or biochemistry, or biology, or related fields.  Successful candidates should have a proven track record of publication.

The successful candidate will be expected to work under the guidance of the principal investigator as well as to mentor graduate students.  The specific focuses of position (1) include organic synthesis of chemical probes and development of biorthogonal reactions.  The specific focuses of position (2) include the study of posttranslational modifications and/or protein engineering through rational design or directed evolution. These positions require the candidate to independently design and perform experiments.  Experience with scientific journal writing and submission is a plus.  The candidate will have plenty of opportunities to learn new knowledge and techniques in other disciplines as well.
