Applications are invited for the post of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Health Studies. The post is for the design and delivery of a new MSc in Occupational Therapy. The Department of Health Studies is part of the School of Life Sciences and the Environment alongside the Departments of Biological Sciences, Psychology, Earth Sciences, and Geography. We are forward thinking, multidisciplinary and research active. We are a new department developing a suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Global Health and the environment. We are ambitious and value partnership working to create solutions for the challenges in the world today. 

We seek outstanding individuals to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. This post will be offered on either the teaching focussed, research and teaching or professional practice route. 

The Senior lecturer will take a leading role in the development and management of our new MSc Occupational Therapy degree which will begin in 2024/25. This position is open to registered UK occupational therapists. We are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge and experience in health education and placement development.  We also expect leadership and an effective contribution to programme or department administration or projects improving the student experience. 

For those applicants interested in the research and teaching track, we are seeking to add to our research priorities in alignment with the College’s research catalysts which are currently Living Sustainably, Transformative Digital Technologies, Security and Society and Digital Futures in the Creative and Cultural Industries. Preference is likely to be given to candidates who have secured or are looking to secure research funding. 

The post is available from August 2023 and the successful applicant will be based in our Campus in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park.
