Chief Executive Officer at Rupani Foundation USA

A unique early childhood education agency focused on serving children 0-5 and their families in Houston and poised for expansion.

Rupani Foundation USA uses a three-pronged service model to holistically serve early childhood aged children and their families. This model includes direct services, effective collaborations, and advocacy. To continue Rupani Foundation USA’s 15+ year history of successful growth, Rupani Foundation USA seeks to engage an experienced individual as CEO to lead a strong, staff (which is poised for grow significantly to execute recently awarded grants), and work with an active board of directors including the founder and other civic leaders.

The ideal person will have work/life experiences that include the following:

· An ability to represent the mission, vision, and values of Rupani Foundation

· Understanding and comfort working with a founder-led Board of Directors

· Thorough understanding of the culture of philanthropy with a strong record of fundraising success and grant reporting

· A commitment to diversity, equity and social justice

· A strategic approach to organizational development, programming, implementation, and evaluation

· Team-leadership skills and the ability to recruit, develop, guide, and value dedicated staff and volunteers

· Relationships orientation towards under-served communities of various ethnicities

· Experience growing an organization or expanding its mission through community cultivation, additional locations or expanded program offerings

· Experience developing and managing budgets in association with lay oversight

· 5-7 years of work experience in nonprofit organizations including senior leadership roles

· A Master’s degree from an accredited institution with substantial academic focus on community development, mental health and/or early childhood education

Key personal characteristics include: multi-tasking, cultural competency, and a compassionate team mentoring strategy. This position requires flexibility due to its service model. The ability to manage up and down is essential as you might find yourself hands-on at a program site in the morning, meeting with major donors in the afternoon, and sharing new opportunities with the Board of Directors in the evening.

Compensation includes a salary in the range of 150-175k and a benefits program including Health, Vision, Dental, and 4 weeks of annual PTO.
