A post-doctoral research position is available in Dr. Gustavo Silva’s laboratory at Duke University (https://sites.duke.edu/silvalab ). The prospective candidate will work on our exciting research projects focused on understanding protein dynamics during cellular adaptation to environmental stresses. The lab uses a combination of cellular, molecular, and large scale approaches, including mass spectrometry-based proteomics and next generation sequencing, to elucidate stress response pathways in yeast and mammalian cells. Current areas of research include translation control, ubiquitin signaling, energy metabolism, and neurological diseases.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate and enthusiastic scientist interested in elucidating molecular mechanisms and their relationship to cell physiology. Candidates with strong work ethic, creativity, and productivity are encouraged to apply. This will be a minimum one-year appointment, contingent upon satisfactory annual reviews. Salary is commensurate with NIH guidelines and applicant experience.
