Fedcap Rehabilitation Services in Bronx, NY is calling all friendly and outgoing individuals to apply to join our amazing nonprofit as a full-time Employment Engagement Coordinator!

YOUR LIFE AS AN EMPLOYMENT ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

As an Employment Engagement Coordinator, you maximize the skills, goals, engagement, and leadership of our Clubhouse members while facilitating tasks and projects. You work closely with members, coworkers, and the program director to develop long and short-term plans, keep work on task, and lead projects as needed.

You also extend our social services efforts by attending outside meetings, speaking to groups, and visiting other clubhouses to increase our visibility and learn from others. And as a participant in our Transitional Employment Program, you develop and manage TE placements, train and support members on the job, and provide TE job coverage when necessary.

Your contributions don't stop there! You advocate for members, offer training and support to new staff and volunteers, and help with special occasion social activities. We appreciate your flexible and adaptable approach, kind heart, and commitment to engaging members in all aspects of our operations. Thank you for making a difference in our community!


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • 3+ years of experience working in human services
  • Flexibility and a belief in rehabilitation and recovery
  • Excellent analytical skills, computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel or another database software
  • Excellent emotional intelligence (EI) skills
  • Adaptability to change and the ability to work under potentially stressful situations
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and commitment to the mission, vision, and goals of The Fedcap Group
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and ethical practice
  • Ability to analyze, make decisions, and resolve situations effectively
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies

Preferred:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, rehabilitation, counseling, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a Psychosocial Clubhouse or other mental health community support program
  • Prior experience engaging women and men impacted by the criminal legal system
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish/French/Haitian Creole/Yoruba/ASL)
