Summary of Job Duties:
The Postdoctoral Fellow in Biological Sciences should have a Ph.D in Cellular & Molecular Biology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biology/. The Postdoctoral Fellow in Biological Sciences is expected to have hands-on experience in designing and execution of experiments associated with the genetics and biochemistry of bacteria and archaea (archaea preferred). Preference will be given to candidates who have hands-on experience working with anaerobic microbes and oxygen-sensitive enzymes. Experience with methanogens is preferred. The Research Associate will also be responsible for designing and executing experiments to investigate the process of nitrogen fixation by methanogens.
This is a 1-year appointment, renewable based on the need for the position, availability of funding, and continued satisfactory level of performance in the role.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
