Position Qualification
Position Summary | The UNMC Epidemiology Department seeks outstanding candidates for a post-doctoral fellowship position in cancer epidemiology The postdoctoral fellow will be able to participate in several extramurally funded projects focused on cancer epidemiology. We seek applications from exceptional individuals with strong quantitative analytic skills in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, and other related areas. Specific projects include a rural cancer survivors’ cohort, a pediatric cancer survivors cohort, and working with population-based surveillance data such as SEER. Positions are for one year with the possibility of renewal for multiple years. |

Required Qualifications | Applicants must have received, or expect to complete a doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Public Health Preparedness, or a closely related field before the start of the position. The successful candidate must have the ability to engage in independent research, be diligent and meticulous in their attitude towards work, and be collegial in their interactions. Applicants must have a strong epidemiological methods background and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. |
