CAS is an outpatient mental health clinic embedded within the hospital building and co-located on the same floor as the outpatient pediatrics clinics at ZSFG, where we receive most of our referrals from primary care providers. Clinicians at CAS provide evidence-based, culturally-sensitive, and trauma-informed care to youth ages 0 to 20 years of age and their families. We place great emphasis on taking a strengths-based approach with each family and forming strong therapeutic relationships with our clients. Many of our clients have experienced one or more forms of trauma and often present with various emotional and/or behavioral problems, including (but not limited to) anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD, adjustment disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, specific learning disorders and substance use disorders. Mental health services provided include psychiatric assessments, therapy (individual, family and group), case management, psychological testing and medication evaluation and management.

We are seeking a Psychologist II position to provide psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 0-20) which may include psychoeducational, psychological, and developmental assessments. Some travel to school sites may be needed (e.g., classroom observations, IEP meetings). Additionally, the Psychologist II will provide clinical supervision and teaching in psychological assessment to trainees in our Multicultural Clinical Training Program, which includes an APA-accredited internship program, as well as practicum students and postdoctoral fellows. The incumbent will work to identify appropriate assessment strategies and tools to respond to questions posed by the referral source and to the client’s needs. The incumbent will assist other CAS Psychological Testing psychologists with the development and/or revision of: CAS testing administration procedures, development of standardized assessment batteries, and identifying the appropriate testing tools and assessment report protocols/procedures and templates for the Divisions.
